Camouflage [Camuflagem/ Camouflage] is the title of a photographic sequence divided into five parts. This work describes the connection between appearance and being in terms of games of opposites, alternation between camouflage and unmasking.
Cover-up and discovery in which both sides of reality are indelibly intertwined. The innocent agents in that series are the
density of the jungle, the stained type of coat that the artist wears, an anteater with the messy pattern of its fur, which resembles
uncomfortably with the shirt that the artist wears in the last photograph. What happened? Consonances and correspondences trigger a
process of metamorphosis in which the shelter model becomes part of the jungle, where the anteater turns and in turn is diluted
in a secret osmosis, under the artist's disguise, in which the latter with her black t-shirt resembles the type of fur of the little anteater. image and reflection, nature and art, original and forgery – one is the other and is formed according to the image of it.
In the confrontation between fictional and real space in the early 1980s, the artist works on this confrontation as spatial representations illusory, such as the formation of clouds or similar spots that are characteristic of the pieces on the camouflage (the shirt worn by the
artist in the three central photographs).
