Kuena Tikuna (2003), is an Indigenous ARTivist born of two peoples from the Brazilian Amazon. Tikuna and Tariana, was born in the waters of the Solimões River in the Tikuna Feijoal indigenous territory, where art has always been present in his life, through culture and connection with his two peoples who are his greatest reference for struggle and art. Where their elders taught them the sacred ancestral art, the way of seeing the world and its cosmologies.
He uses art and activism as political and ancestral tools, from a contemporary perspective as a two-spirited indigenous young man. His research uses various media, from more traditional drawings and paintings with natural pigments from the Amazon on tururi canvas to images produced with different technologies using his territorial body.
Participated in the collective Telas Do Orgulho SP ARTE, São Paulo, 2023; Visual Cartographies for LGBTI+ writing, Teatro VIVO São Paulo, 2023; 3rd Indigenous Art Exhibition - My History, Palacio Rio Branco Manaus - 2023 Bancos Indígenas do Brasil SP ARTE, São Paulo, 2023; The Truth is in the Body, Paço das Artes São Paulo, 2023
