AdánVallecillo (Danli, Honduras, 1977) lives and works inTegucigalpa, Honduras. He studied sociology at the Autonomous University of Honduras and at the School of Plastic Arts, Puerto Rico; National School of Fine Arts, Tegucigalpa. The cultural and social impositions of western culture have determined Vallecillo's approach to art, who uses manufactured industrial products and everyday objects to create a work that can be read as a political and social manifesto, in which it is evident how strong the presence of European and North American culture has been and continues to be in his own cultural system. By using very common and fragile materials, he questions the society in which he lives, he has a critical but sensitive vision of the complex reality of his country.
