Antique linen fabrics, of considerable dimensions and embroidered in red cotton thread, are the most emotive works in Marta's exhibition project.

They are a tribute to the women in her family, invisible women who dedicated their lives to making and caring, and were never recognised. Women who often resorted to embroidery in their difficult moments.

These old family heirloom telescopes are the backdrop against which she depicts the life cycle of the forest, using embroidery technique. The leaves of the trees, turned into litter, fall to the earth, feeding it and creating the maintenance for life in the forest to begin again.

Stitch by stitch, embroidering with cotton thread, the drawing of piles of pine needles emerges in a performative and repetitive act, not guided by a preconceived design, but by a meditative act, which, depending on the emotional tone of the moment, turns into thicker or more open forms.
