ALFREDO DUFOUR

Alfredo Dufour (San Juan, 1989) es artista visual, Licenciado en Artes Plásticas por la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. Complementó su formación con residencias internacionales en Casa Wabi (Oaxaca, 2023), Marco Arte Foco – Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires (2018) y Can Serrat (Barcelona, 2017), además del Programa de Artistas de la Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2016).

En los últimos años fue seleccionado en el Premio Fortabat a las Artes Visuales (2023 y 2025), Premio Fundación Klemm (2023) y Premio Fundación Andreani (2023), entre otros reconocimientos. Obtuvo el Primer Premio UADE (2022) y el Primer Premio Banco Central (2021).

Realizó exposiciones individuales recientes en Galería Vigil Gonzales, Cusco (Clase Media, 2024) y Galería Constitución, Buenos Aires (Vendo miedo, 2023;  Limón, 2020 y Germán, 2018), además de muestras en EAC Montevideo (Monoambiente, 2022), MARCO La Boca (No me digas entiendo 2018-2019) y el Museo Franklin Rawson (Las cosas simples, 2018).

Participó en exhibiciones colectivas en instituciones tales como el Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (Dibujar es crear mundos, 2024), MALBA (Proyecto Yungas, 2019 y Del cielo a casa, 2023), Palacio Libertad (La fábula de la razón 2024–2025), CCK (Premio Nacional de Pintura Banco Central 15 años, 2023 y Cruces- Cuerpos Intermitentes, 2022) y el Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo (Un lento venir viniendo, 2023), así como en la Embajada Argentina en Londres.

Su trabajo se ha exhibido en Alemania, España, Londres y México. Actualmente vive y trabaja en Buenos Aires.

[ENG] Alfredo Dufour (San Juan, 1989) is a visual artist who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the National University of Cuyo. He furthered his education through international residencies at Casa Wabi (Oaxaca, 2023), Marco Arte Foco – Museum of Contemporary Art of Buenos Aires (2018), and Can Serrat (Barcelona, 2017), as well as the Artists Program at Torcuato Di Tella University (2016).

In recent years, he has been selected for the Fortabat Visual Arts Prize (2023 and 2025), the Klemm Foundation Prize (2023), and the Andreani Foundation Prize (2023), among other recognitions. He received the First Prize at UADE (2022) and the First Prize from the Central Bank (2021).

His recent solo exhibitions include shows at Vigil Gonzales Gallery, Cusco (Middle Class, 2024) and Constitución Gallery, Buenos Aires (I Sell Fear, 2023; Lemon, 2020; and Germán, 2018), as well as exhibitions at EAC Montevideo (Studio Apartment, 2022), MARCO La Boca (Don’t Tell Me I Understand, 2018–2019), and the Franklin Rawson Museum (Simple Things, 2018).

He has participated in group exhibitions at institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (Drawing Is Creating Worlds, 2024), MALBA (Yungas Project, 2019, and From Heaven to Home, 2023), Palacio Libertad (The Fable of Reason, 2024–2025), CCK (National Painting Prize of the Central Bank – 15 Years, 2023, and Crossings – Intermittent Bodies, 2022), and the Tomie Ohtake Institute, São Paulo (A Slow Coming Into Being, 2023), as well as at the Argentine Embassy in London.

His work has been exhibited in Germany, Spain, London, and Mexico. He currently lives and works in Buenos Aires.
