With *Río Paraná*, he received the Premio Estímulo Ministerio de Cultura de la Provincia at the Salón Nacional del Museo Rosa Galisteo, Santa Fe. In 2022 he held the solo exhibition *PARAMPARA* at PASTO Galería, Buenos Aires. In recent years, his work has been exhibited in institutions and galleries in Spain, Brazil, Paraguay, and Mexico.
Artistic Practice
Textile design, murals, ceramics, and sculpture are the main languages that converge in Brandazza’s practice. His recent productions evoke the ichthyic and spiritual universe of the Paraná River, integrating formal, poetic, and historical dimensions. The river serves as both a symbolic and material starting point — a primordial landscape and universal paradise whose abundance ensures continuity of life.
Brandazza, like a disciple of the Paraná, seems to safeguard its liturgy, following a lineage of Argentine artists who have bound themselves to the river and its islands, leaving a record of the landscape they inhabit.
His work draws from multiple universes: from the surrealist traditions of the Litoral, to pop music and the vision of 20th-century fashion designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, and the aesthetics of Brazilian troupes — always under the imperative of delight.
At the same time, his pieces are deeply rooted in a contemporary context marked by ecocide in the Argentine Litoral — a global phenomenon that prioritizes production over health and the environment. Through his work, Brandazza reflects on and bears witness to this climate crisis, which in his region translates into a water crisis and the disappearance of wetlands.
