Rearicks’s series "Never Bored" is comprised of a set of canvases that feature large, non-congruent color forms. Inspired by the American abstract expressionists of the mid twentieth century, his works are characterized by emotion, freedom and unconditional spontaneity. His pieces are authentically his own, and this series can be considered an invitation to allow ourselves to be carried away through the motto “Nevermind,” to a world where we celebrate artistic vision, spirituality, and the creation of art as a form of playful exploration. The large canvases Rearick works with allows him to make the act of painting a form of meditation where he can release thoughts and channel his emotions. For Rearick, painting is a refuge, a path and a destination, and he focuses on art as a form of self expression and fun, rather than restricting himself by formal rules or standards.
