CHARLES LE HYARIC
solo show
SECTION DISEGNI #12
curated by Irina Zucca Alessandrelli, curator Collezione Ramo — Milan
Project based on the series Aquarelle phocéenne
Our booth displays new drawings on paper by Charles Le Hyaric and an environnement in paper he realized in situ.
Le Hyaric’s immersion in the Mediterranean’s setting - bright white stone, sun, blue sky and sea - is, as always, the starting point of his new productions for Disegni section, based on his ongoing series Aquarelle phocéenne.
The whole tells a kind of Phocaean fable where people should be able to lose themselves in the atmosphere of the azure, ultramarine, turquoise blues; to see the sky upside down, to catch sight of plant, mineral or animal forms.
The alchemy of materials and images meets to compose on the paper frag- ments of landscapes, of sensations: here a golden spot in the shape of a fish floats in the middle of the rock, there salt crystals allied to gold powder give way to an attempt at cosmos on the paper leaf, etc. etc. etc.
